Matthew Moore, CFP®, is an Investment Advisor Representative at Argent Advisors. He specializes in helping individuals create wealth and enjoy income in retirement. His approach balances the powers of investments and insurance to help his clients build financial security while confidently enjoying their retirement years.

Matthew spent four years as a high school social studies teacher and debate coach before transitioning to financial services. Since becoming an advisor in 2021, he has been assisting clients in developing a clear, actionable roadmap to achieve their financial goals. He uses Argent Advisors’ distinct approach that combines the powers of investments and insurance to craft tailored strategies for his clients. His mission is simple: to help people worry less about money so they can enjoy life more.

A Ruston, Louisiana native, Matthew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Baylor Business Fellows and economics from Baylor University, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from Louisiana Tech University. He is actively involved in his community through The Bridge Community Church and serves as president of the Ruston Chess Knights chess club. Matthew currently resides in Ruston with his wife and their son. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, playing chess and board games, traveling, and watching musical theater.
